· Partners with the Scout Executive on analyzing, developing, and forecasting the annual budget to identify cost-saving opportunities and coding accuracy.
· Provides financial guidance to the professional staff analyzing variances in district budgets to reduce operating costs for the council resulting in increased revenue.
· Experienced in analyzing and interpreting the Statement of Financial Position to assess the financial soundness of the council.
· I will develop and maintain internal controls of the council budgets to ensure transparency with the council leadership.
· Increased council popcorn sales from $313,679 gross to 433,361 gross sales by increasing the number of participating units and implementing a risk-free sales strategy.
· Trained and mentored a team of professional staff members on the council's Friends of Scouting plan that resulted in raising over $809,000 through Good Scout Award Dinners, and Special Events which exceeded the goal by 3.6% and resulted in an increase in revenue.
· With council leadership input created an aggressive plan that resulted in the council achieving a 4% increase over 2022 and a 20.1% growth over the last two years in Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing, and Exploring programs. Focusing on existing Cub Scout Units, the council experienced a 10.7 % growth over 2022 and a 49% growth over the last two years in the Cub Scout program.
· Increased percentage of new units organized by 15% achieved through an increase in sales calls and volunteer buy-in.
· Initiated, organized, and led staff planning conferences for over 15 professional staff members for six years resulting in improved staff morale, productivity, and transparent expectations across the team.
· Investing in one-on-one coaching and staff development training to improve direct service to units and direct leadership resulting in a 15% increase in new unit organization over 2022.
