Meet with the Council Key 3 to review council priorities. Personally meet with every Executive Board member to discuss the council's opportunities, challenges and work to establish trust and confidence.
Personally meet one-on-one with all staff members to discuss their responsibilities, career goals, challenges and opportunities.
Immerse myself in the Council Friends of Scouting Campaign calendar to ensure on-time and on-goal execution of the 2024 campaign.
Review the council budget and meet with the appropriate council volunteers to ensure proper stewardship of the West Tennessee Area Council.
Meet with the Council Budget Committee to review the 2023 and 2024 budget.
Understand the vision of the Council Strategic Plan and work to ensure all items are completed within alignment with the plan.
Attend District Roundtables, District Committee meetings, District Commissioner meetings and any other opportunities to engage volunteers throughout the council.
Work with council volunteers and staff on developing and executing a membership plan to ensure growth in 2024.
Work with the Council Camping Committee and appropriate staff to ensure Summer Camp Promotions are on track for 2024.
Participate in Properties and Program Committee meetings to thoroughly understand the vision for the council's program facilities.
Meet with the directors of each United Way Partner to determine future strategies with key council board members.
Be visible in the community - join appropriate civic clubs, participate in Chamber and other civic/business events, establish a faith membership, locate a home, relocate family.
